Just over 15 days later, we want to share some details about the launch ceremony of the “JOGAR na LINHA” project.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the promoting entities and distinguished guests, including:

▪️ José João Mendes – President of Egas Moniz School of Health & Science
▪️ Rui Pacheco – Director of the Educational Technologies Division at Porto Editora
▪️ João Couvaneiro – Director of the Pedagogical Innovation Department at Egas Moniz School of Health & Science
▪️ David Sousa – General Director of the Directorate-General for Education
▪️ Teodolinda Silveira – Vice-President of Almada City Council
📍The event featured the presentation of the “Jogar na Linha” video, with Luís Figo’s participation, announcing the launch of the educational project competition, which focuses on childhood and adolescent obesity and the promotion of healthy lifestyle habits.
The initiative reaches approximately 5,000 schools, both public and private, from primary to secondary and vocational education.
Awards will be presented to students and their supervising teachers for the finalist projects:
- Knowledge Award: 3rd place, sponsored by Porto Editora
- Sports Award: 2nd place, supported by Sport Zone
- Experience Award: 1st place, sponsored by MEO Kalorama
The “Jogar na Linha” competition, organized by Escola Virtual, is one of the initiatives of the “Jogar na Linha – A Measure Against Childhood Obesity” project, promoted by the Luís Figo Foundation in partnership with Egas Moniz School of Health & Science and Porto Editora Group. It aims to raise awareness and engage the school community and society at large in addressing this important issue.
The project also includes an on-site component being developed in partnership with Almada City Council.
