Autumn
Vegetables of the season
Watercress is a leafy green vegetable that is packed with vitamins, minerals (such as calcium, iron, potassium, and phosphorus), and antioxidants. It can be eaten raw, in salads, or cooked (in soups, for example).
In addition to being rich in vitamin A (good for vision, maintaining various organs healthy, and important for our cells), it also has a high content of vitamin C, which keeps the immune system balanced, helps us to recover from wounds, and favors the production of collagen. But the benefits of watercress also include:
- Reducing the risk of cancer
- Promoting good heart health
- Favoring healthy bones
