World Cerebral Palsy day

World Cerebral Palsy Day

Cerebral palsy affects 2 in 1000 children and is almost always congenital.

Affects:

Muscle tone;

The posture;

The movement.

Other symptoms are often present as well, for example:

Cognitive deficit, with reasoning and learning difficulties;

Sensory deficit, for example of vision and hearing;

Epilepsy;

Sensitivity changes.

It is a difficult reality that changes the life of the entire family, requiring multidisciplinary follow-up. Through the Luís Figo Foundation SOCIAL SCHOLARSHIP, created in 2012, and Emdiip Ipss, with its team of health professionals, has provided over the years a continuous therapeutic follow-up to these children and families.

Do you know or have a family with this reality?
