School Day of Non-Violence and Peace

The School Day of Non-Violence and Peace is celebrated annually on January 30th. The date was established in Spain in 1954, at its origin was the Spanish poet, pedagogue and pacifist Llorenç Vidal, but it was welcomed internationally. January 30th was chosen because it was the day of the death of the great Indian pacifist Mahatma Gandhi.
