Campaign to Combat Childhood Obesity

The Luís Figo Foundation materializes its solidarity campaign to combat childhood obesity by delivering food baskets to the Cova do Mar Association.

In a country where childhood obesity rates rank among the highest in Europe, the Luís Figo Foundation takes on the mission of improving the dietary habits of the youngest generation.

To achieve this goal, last year, in collaboration with Costa Verde, Dentsu Creative, and illustrator André Letria, the “Saberes Com Sabor” collection was developed as part of a solidarity campaign promoting healthy eating practices. With pieces that bring a fun twist to common sayings, the purpose is to encourage and promote healthy and balanced eating habits.

Yesterday, the Luís Figo Foundation delivered the first food baskets to the Cova do Mar Association. With the support of FLF volunteers and the Association’s management, 35 food baskets were delivered, representing the number of families assisted by the Association, including the children who attend the Fábrica dos Sonhos, a community toy library initiative of the Cova do Mar Association.
