National Maritime Day
The celebration of National Maritime Day originated in the “United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea” which entered into force on November 16, 1994.
It is from this convention that the maritime limits inherent to the Exclusive Economic Zone and the Continental Shelf are established, among others.
Portugal is a country with a strong connection to the sea!
Being the country of the Maritime Discoveries.
In this regard, we also remember the partnership established between the Luís Figo Foundation and the Portuguese Navy, in the implementation of initiatives to commemorate World Children’s Day.
The excellent experience on the Tagus River in amphibious cars and the visit to the Vasco da Gama Aquarium.
